Welcome to Red Alert Fishing Charters.
My name is Captain Blake Hazzard, and I own and operate Red Alert Fishing Charters in Florida.
From as far back as I can remember, fishing has been my true passion !
As a boy, living on a 10-acre farm with a pond on the back side of the property, all I could think of was going fishing. Every chance I got, I would sneak off to fish for large mouth bass in the pond, to me, if I was going to get in trouble, fishing was well worth the punishment ! Family members remember a vacation when I was about eight. I had been told not to fish from the dock, but it was just too tempting. I caught a big one alright, but it took my brother-in-laws rod and reel out to sea. Yes I would do anything to fish !
By the age of 10, I had my own boat. A wood flat-bottom john boat that my grandfather helped me build, and by the time I graduated from high school, I had traded up to a 21 ft center console boat.
Fishing has always been my dream, but my reality was a career in the retail business with only weekends and days off to spend on the water. Then in 2007, the passion to fish sparked my determination to make a career change. It started with tournament fishing in the Extreme Redfish Series, to break up the 50 hour weeks of retailing. My partner and I took 1st place for our division that year, and I have been tournament fishing ever since .
Spending many days pre-fishing from Homassasa to Swannee, for local tournaments, I have learned where to find the big ones ! Now, after leaving retail to spend life following my passion, I'm ready to share my love for fishing with you and
up to 3 other anglers , who simply dream of catching the " Big One " !
